HardCopy Pro is a versatile, easy to use screen capture utility for Windows. It can capture rectangular screen areas and whole windows. The captured images can be cropped very easily and the color depth can be changed to any desired value from monochrome to true color. Images can be printed, saved, copied to the clipboard, emailed, edited with any image editing program, etc. Many options allow the customization of all these actions to individual user needs.

Are you looking for a functional and practical screen capture utility? Then, HardCopy Pro can be a good option to try. With this simple yet versatile program you can take screenshots of any area on your desktop, as well as complete windows. The output images can be cropped, sent by email, or saved on your PC easily.
To start taking screen captures of your desktop, you can either press the hotkey (defined in the Options dialog) or press the New button in the program's main window. There are four capture modes you can apply: "Rectangle" mode will help you to take a screenshot of any selected area of your desktop by using left mouse button. In "window" mode, you can move the mouse cursor over the window you want to capture. In "active window" mode, as its name suggests, the current active window will be captured. And finally the "screen" mode will capture the whole desktop.
Besides, once your screenshot is taken, you can save it as an image file in the following formats: BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG and TIF. Another nice feature is that you will be able to send your screenshot to a zip folder, open it with your default image editor, or simply send it by e-mail. In addition, you can also print your screenshots directly, just by pressing one button.
In this new version of the program, Windows Vista compatibility has been improved, and older Windows versions like 95, 98, ME, and NT4 are not supported any more. Besides, small changes in the setup routine have been done, as well as several minor bugs fixes. |
